May 21st and 28th

This week went really well, we had a lot of people come to church.  We also have a new person very close to baptism. We're probably going to have two next month.
So we worked hard on getting people to come to church this week, we even went and made breakfast for a family Sunday morning.  It worked, they came to all three hours and loved it.  We had a total of 9 investigators and inactives, it was awesome.  3 of those inactives have actually reactivated it seems, they've come for a whole month now after we had worked with them with our Elders quorum president.  Constanza and her family came, we had to make them breakfast but they came and loved the classes and the primary.
Florinda, a grandma of one of the members here, also came.  We had been visiting her really quickly in her door way and teaching small things for a while, and this week we finally had a family home evening with her and taught here a lot. She's now reading the Book of Mormon a lot, working realy hard to learn, and she loves the gospel principles class. She is very close to becoming a member.
This was a good week, we need to keep building on it and progressing, we are getting really close
Love you guys, Elder Price

letter to his dad

Wow, so you've been released.  I don't really know what to say, you've been bishop for a long and important time of my life.  Its weird to think of someone else in that office now.  I'm very lucky to still have you as a dad and learn a lot from you like that.  I'm sure the ward is very greatful for everything you've done.  I'm glad to hear brother Temple was called, he is a great man as well.  He will do great. I just listened to Gordon B Hinkleys talk on bishops, it was really good, it really made me appreciate more the work you and all the other bishops have done in the church.  Now I wonder what your next calling will be?
So we've been having more success getting people to come to church, we've had more success with the inactives in that, but we still have had more investigators coming.  This past sunday we had 2 inactive families of 3 and 4 investigators in the sacrament meeting.  Its really rewarding to see the people come to church and enjoy it.  It's a great way to really feel like we're helping.
Love you, thank you

May 21st

Well this week went really well.  We had some great lessons, and found several new people to start teaching.  We found a lady named Bertha knocking doors the other day, and she was great.  She's very religous, but she is also really interested in The Book of Mormon.  We're going back tomorrow to go talk to her again and give her a book.  We also found a mom with her son yesterday.  They too have a lot of interest.  Its awesome to be busy in the work.  I just can't wait to start seeing these people get batized and change their lives.  After studying and teaching this so much, I have really come to understand what the covenant of baptism means, and I have a very strong desire to keep it the best I can
In other news, a Papa John's has opened up in Valdivia, and the members have started to get us lunch there.  I had no idea how much I missed American pizza. Chilean pizza just isn't the same.  But, Chile has definitely mastered the other fast foods.  They have so many brilliant ideas.
Love you guys, thanks for the support
Elder Price
