Good things happening in Alerce!

This week was really awesome, there was a baptism here in Alerce.  It was from the other sector but we got quite a lot out of it.  We brought one investigator there, Ilse,  and she was touched quite a bit.  She still has a bit more to go before she can get baptized but I feel it will happen one day.  We also got 2 new investigators from this baptism.  The little girl who was baptized invited her friend with her family and the mom now wants us to baptize her.  They both really felt the spirit and have learned quite a bit about the church through another member family.  We are going to start teaching them the lessons tomorrow, and we are really excited for it, they already have a very strong desire to join the church.  With our other incestigators, the Lopez family, we also made some progress.  We still cannot get them to come to church, but they have been reading the Book of Mormon a lot and have begun to pray.  We have a family home evening with them and a member family in just a few hours that will be a huge help to finally get them to church.

We started doing some workouts in the church every morning with all the elders here in Alerce. We decided it was time to drop some weight.  I still haven't been gaining any, but I can tell it will come back if we keep eating like we do.  Members love to give us food, and we love to eat.
