December 18 and Christmas Skype

We got to speak to our Elder Price today. I now understand the joy felt as many of you missionary moms know all to well. Best Christmas present ever. I think he might have gotten a bit emotional at the beginning but he was so happy and doing great. We could tell he loves his mission and all the wonderful experiences he is having. We got to hear him bare his testimony in Spanish and he sounds great!  He was a little flustered trying to speak to us in Spanish and English. We were also able to meet Elder Hernandez (his companion from Mexico). So fun!!



December 18th
 Well this week we had some bad luck, our family with a baptisimal date told us that they are moving to Valdivia before the end of the year, and their date was the 30th of December.  We're still working with them a little, but its mainly to make sure that they find contact with the church when they arrive in their new home.  

However, we did make awesome progress with another investigator, Ilse.  She now has a date for the 13th of January and also she and her boyfriend, Miguel, are making plans to get married.  Miguel is an inactive member but he has reaslly strong desires to return to the church.  They both came yesterday and really enjoyed it.  They also have a baby on the way and they both expressed desires to raise this baby in a family centered on the gospel.  We're going to have a family home evening with them and a new family in the ward this week that should be awesome.  

We also have a christmas tree now, we have yet to decorate it, we just picked up everything right before coming here.  Christmas should be tons of fun here, we have a few different choirs to sing in and plenty of activities.  ​​​​​​

 

So Elder Price is serving with an Elder Spencer.  THey aren't companions but they live in the same apartment.  I have seen him all over the Osorno Chile facebook page.  He obviously takes many pictures on his mission!  Its the best and I had hoped that maybe someday Garrett would get to serve with him!  Well to my surprise I found a few pictures on the facebook page of him and Elder Spencer!  I was super happy.  I hope he keeps posting pics!
